The Stargazers Guide to the Night Sky - A New Leaf Press Review

I was very pleased to review the Stargazers Guide to the Night Sky by Dr. Jason Lisle. The book itself is very attractive and full of beautiful photos. Immediately I started flipping through just to get a glimpse of the amazing images inside. My kids, the 9 and 7 year olds were very eager to look with me and many ooohs and aaahs were given. 

This book is chalked full of information and charts. I especially liked the views of the night sky constellations and for which season. Besides the big dipper, finding constellations was never easy for me so this is a great resource.

I think this is a great reference to own. There is so much packed into this book that one could study an entire year to cover it all. I believe that this would be good for all ages. It enticed my youngers and enhanced their excitement. But for older students there is a LOT of information here. This book gets very technical. 

As a homeschooler – I am going to have this book around for my kids to pick up as they want to explore but plan to use it more deeply as they get older. I see a lot of use out of this one and highly recommend it!
