I had a really hard time reviewing The Ministry of Christ 1000 Days by Jonathan Falwell. I was very excited to review this since I am having such a great time with another book I reviewed that concentrates right on Jesus - his words, his life. My problem with this book is I didn't feel connected to his stories and I felt the book was very wordy and slow to grasp me and draw me in. I found myself zoning out and putting it down.
I like the idea of the book and perhaps someone else might be drawn into as a better fit.
I really hate not giving good reviews. Especially for ministry books that might be exactly what someone else needs. But for me - I did not get much out of this book that I did not already know.
There are some good qualities to be found and learned in this book. The book helps to explain what it means to follow Christ. He points out that knowing God is more important than the material wealth of the world. But a lot of times moving from examples and such - he left me confused.
The chapters are set up with questions at the end that help you study his points made. The final chapter is a Bible Study Guide.
Like I said - I don't like being rough on Ministry books but I really would not recommend this one. I would probably direct friends to others.
I received this book free for review from BookSneeze.com and was not required to give a positive review.
