My Favorite Cookie Recipe

My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 Cup (2 Sticks) Softened Butter
2 ½ Cups All-Purpose Flour
½ Cup Granulated Sugar
¾ tsp Salt
1 ½ Cups Packed Brown Sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 Eggs
1 tsp baking soda
2 ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
(try to use real not imitation)
1 ½ – 2 (12 oz) bags of choc. chips.
(use a variety semi-sweet, milk, mini, chunk etc)

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a Large Mixing Bowl, cream together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. With your fingers, place a golf ball sized dough portions, 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 9-10 mins or JUST UNTIL THE EDGES ARE LIGHT BROWN! Do not over cook!
  8. Take out and spatula them on to aluminum foil on the counter. They will set up! Promise!
